This is the home my work eventually built.
For more than thirty years, I have worked with organisations across India — as a consultant, facilitator and observer. I entered meeting rooms to discuss strategy, leadership and change. Over time, I realised that the most important conversations were often the ones that never became minutes of the meeting.
People reveal themselves in unexpected ways.
Sometimes through what they choose not to say. Sometimes through a pause, a glance, the movement of a hand, or the silence that settles over a room after a difficult question. I began paying attention to those moments — not as data to analyse, but as traces of being human.
That practice of observation gradually became the foundation of everything I create.
Some observations become essays, such as What the Room Said. Some are distilled into short reflections through The Tell. Some become fiction through investigator Kabir Vaidya. Others find their way into books, conversations with organisations, or the work I continue to do as a consultant.
They may appear different on the surface, but they all grow from the same place: the belief that careful observation reveals truths that hurried attention cannot.
